Licensing

BEdita business model is well known as dual licensing.

This means that the software is available in two versions: a free/open source and a proprietary/commercial.

This business model has been succesfully implemented by many companies on very important projects like: Mysql, Qt (Trolltech), Asterisk, Berkley DB (Oracle) .... just to name a few.

BEdita is therefore available in two flavours:

• a Free Software/Open Source version using  Affero GPL 3 to let you write Open Source/Free Software applications
• a proprietary version containing specific advanced modules to create advanced/commercial/enterprise solutions
